I happened to follow the Best Spam E-mail Ever this morning: a link to some terrific music! I'm mostly through their discography now, and I'm pretty well blown away. Strikingly high quality mp3's. (Download "Can You Tell Me," "Member of No Tribe," "Everyone But You," "Another Deadly Mother," especially. Mercifully fast connection! Over 500 kps over here.)

Though now widely regarded as "the world's greatest and only ska-funk-folk-punk amalgamation," THE FENWICKS were originally formed as a duo at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Together they invented their own brand of alternative rock- one defined by Corrieri's furiously paced, acoustic melodies spot-welded to Schub's quirky lyrics and jarring, if at times hilarious, stage show.

At a loss, one critic deemed it "Afro-Celtic Yiddish Ska". Whatever one calls it, it was, and is, apparently, infectious and addictive.
Oh, and they belt out Randian Rush-quality lyrics. Wild!
