inspired some hours after reading 'Borges and I', these notes emerged from a moment:

he looked out his window, deep into the bright sky, and thought, "no wonder i think more farsightedly when looking out across a vast distance! that's when it was USEFUL for my ancestors to think that way. physiology of focus, installed by evolution of psychology. i could stop and write about this. or, i could just keep living and getting to these wonders on my own!"

conclusions on richness, detail, and fiction: The best stories aren't written. The best stories are lived.
