Saw Traffic last night. Superb documentary fiction of the Tom Wolfe* school. I found it less than completely immersive, but nonetheless engrossing and certainly compelling. The on-location filming & the astonishingly appropriate characterization stand out. In particular, each character fit perfectly, believably into his profession & into his geographical region. Rich portraits, shown very much "in context".
Most of the movie's action is in San Diego, and much of it in and around lawyers' offices. So I know of which I speak.
I wish I'd seen it on the big screen.
